Chungcheongnam-do Province participated in the Korean Study Abroad Fair held in Germany as the only local government and worked hard to attract international students to the province.
The province announced on the 19th that it participated in the ‘2025 German Korean Study Abroad Fair’ held at the Free University of Berlin and the University of Tübingen in Germany on the 16th and 18th.
Eight Korean universities directly participated in this fair, co-hosted by the Korean Education Center in Germany and the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Frankfurt, and the province attracted attention by being the only local government to open a joint promotion hall for local universities.
The provincial office in Germany, which was in charge of the operation, introduced the study abroad systems and recruitment guidelines of four universities in the province, including Sangmyung University, Soonchunhyang University, Korea Polytechnic University, and Hanseo University, and conducted customized consultations. In particular, Anke Wesselmann, a staff member of the provincial German office who has experience studying abroad in Korea, led the consultation and vividly explained the support systems for each university and preparations for studying abroad, which received a positive response from local students.
In addition, the provincial German office also promoted the ‘Visit Chungnam Year 2025-2026’ that the provincial government is promoting, widely publicizing the region’s charms.
