The LA Eastern Korean Association (President Choi Hyun-moo) successfully held the grand opening ceremony of its long-awaited new hall, reaffirming the unity and growth of the local Korean American community.

The newly established facility is more than just an office for the association; it is expected to function as an open community hub accessible to all generations.

The ceremony began with a ribbon-cutting, followed by the singing of the Korean and U.S. national anthems, and a moment of silence for the patriotic forebears, held in a solemn atmosphere.

In his welcome speech, President Choi emphasized the slogan “The Eastern Korean Association That Realizes the Immigrant’s Dream,” stating, “Our community now needs a warm and safe space where Korean Americans can thrive economically and emotionally. This new hall will be at the center of that vision.”

He added, “This facility is not just for the association but will be operated as an open venue for all Korean Americans in East LA. We will also accelerate our efforts in educational programs for the younger generation and welfare services for seniors.”
