The Overseas Koreans Agency (OKA, Director Lee Sang-deok) announced on February 7 that preparations for the 23rd World Korean Business Convention, scheduled for April 17-20 in Atlanta, USA, are progressing smoothly.

Director Lee visited Atlanta on February 5-6 to conduct a comprehensive review of the event’s key logistics, including exhibition and convention venues, accommodations, and overall preparations. Additionally, he met with Korean business leaders in the region, urging strong community support to ensure the success of the convention. He emphasized that this event will serve as the starting point for establishing a ‘Korean Business Economic Sphere,’ going beyond the traditional Korean business network.

More than 100 Korean business leaders in attendance expressed their commitment to fostering mutual prosperity between overseas Korean communities and Korea. They also agreed on the importance of uniting Korean business capabilities to address global economic challenges and pledged to do their utmost to ensure the convention’s success.

During the meeting, Director Lee officially presented the event flag to Lee Kyung-cheol, President of the Federation of Korean American Chambers of Commerce (FKACC), symbolizing the beginning of the 23rd World Korean Business Convention.
