The Korean American Federation of Southwest USA (President Jo Kyu-ja) donated relief funds on February 2 to assist victims of recent wildfires in Los Angeles County.

The donation ceremony was attended by President Jo Kyu-ja and executives from the Southwest Korean American Federation, along with officials from the Los Angeles County Department of Economic Opportunity. Among the attendees were Kelly LoBianco (Director), Angela Hernandez (Public Information Officer), and Jessica Ku Kim (Chief Deputy), who expressed their gratitude for the generous contribution from the Korean American community.

After receiving the donation, LA County officials stated that the funds will be used to help residents affected by the wildfires rebuild their businesses and restore their livelihoods.

President Jo Kyu-ja remarked, "Despite it being the weekend, we are grateful to the county officials who attended amid ongoing recovery efforts. We sincerely hope for the swift restoration of the affected communities."

LA County officials provided an update on the situation, noting that the wildfire was fully extinguished as of February 1 and that approximately 15,000 displaced residents are currently receiving support at Hyatt Hotel services and emergency shelters.
