The Hamyang-gun China's Huanam Market Development Team achieved the results of the $1.570 million export agreement for agri-food for exporters in the jurisdiction through an export consultation meeting in Guangzhou, China, on July 29.
Hamyang-gun began the opening ceremony by inviting five South Korean foreign guests, including the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Guangzhou and the Shenzhen branch of the Small and Medium Venture Business Corporation, and six Chinese foreign guests, including the Guangzhou Food Entrepreneurs Association, and held consultations with 40 local buyers and eight companies, including Hamyang Wild Ginseng, Jisan Food and Jirisan Mushroom Farming Association, to sign two export agreements of $1.57 million.
These achievements were added to the willingness of buyers who had been steadily interacting in Hamyang-gun to discover new imported items, and local buyers showed interest in health foods such as processed wild ginseng, samgyetang, and Yeojuhwan, and accounted for a large portion of the export agreement.
In addition, prior to the consultation meeting, intellectual property protection and Chinese licensing seminars prepared by local companies had time to share essential knowledge for entering the Chinese market and provided useful time for participating companies.
