Chungcheongnam-do announced on the 21st that it had signed an export agreement (MOU) worth $30 million at the "2024 Vietnam Business Matching Day" held in Vietnam from the 16th to the 18th.
Hosted by the province and organized by the Chungnam Economic Promotion Agency and TJB Daejeon Broadcasting, the event was promoted twice in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, to support companies in the province to explore overseas markets.
The meeting attracted high attention from local buyers as 30 companies in the province that manufacture and sell excellent products such as △ health functional foods and health foods △ tea, juice △ laver, seasoned laver △ processed red ginseng products △ animal feed △ cosmetics △ agricultural products △ processed meat products.
As a result of this consultation, 177 export consultations and $20.36 million export agreements were signed in Hanoi on the 16th, and 160 export consultations and $9.63 million export agreements were signed in Ho Chi Minh City on the 18th.
The major export agreements include $13.7 million for health food company Kyungdong Oriental Pharmaceutical and $3 million for animal feed manufacturing company Woosung Yang.
The Vietnamese export agreement totaled $30 million, the highest ever, and as a total of 337 export consultations were conducted, more overseas exports are expected to take place in the future.
